watching news reports on thailand, my heart ached. i realised i can no longer lean back in my sofa thinking "thank God it didnt happen in Sg" or "lucky i'm not in thailand". what does this flood mean to thailand? more ppl out of job? more hawkers unable to make a living? would the poor get poorer now?
